Welcome to the Department of Public Health Sciences website. Our departmental mission describes our unique role in leadership and collaboration in research and education in the School of Medicine, the University of Virginia, and the community at large. PHS faculty provide leadership and collaborate on a wide range of clinical and population health research ranging from clinical trials, clinical outcomes and comparative effectiveness research to population health & prevention, and health policy and health equity research.
